 | Kyotoshi is a perfect example of someone born into entirely the wrong time period. He is a 'lover', not a fighter. While his family was murdered by Rulerists during a planetary invasion, he holds them no real grudge- at least not on the surface. While he longs for things to go back the way they were, he does his best to prevent himself from thinking about the current future or the possiable past. He does this by drinking. A good natured drunk who's willing to throw himself in front of any bullet for anyone - that's Kyotoshi. He calls this his 'big brother syndrome,' since it became most prominant after his younger sister, Soshika, left home. His tendency to attempt to save others leaves him incapable of a very important realization- he ought to save himself quickly, or there won't be anything left to save. Kyotoshi - Kyo to his friends - has had several faulty relationships that usually end because of his drinking as well as a rather traumatic hospital visit not too long ago. He does not hesitate to speak his mind, provided it is not about himself. When asked by his sister, Kyotoshi became the somewhat ill qualified guardian of Grey. While the Human seemed to come out of his shell to Kyo, it is hard to tell if the relationship between the two is helpful or harmful to the Hekshanian. Although a vicious alcoholic, he is not incapable of taking care of basic needs and keeps his apartment fairly clean.
