Water, Water every were. I can`t breath. Bubbles in the green light. Wires in and out of my skin and flesh. I can`t breath. Needles and machines out of the depths of water, prodding and poking, cutting and fixing. People. People talking and working. Tests, graphs, equations, formulas and chemicals. I can`t breath ! Two caged and abused, used and tortured creatures to the side with no attendance. They call to one an other `Ta Bahata - Ta Bahata`. Blue eyed human to a green eyed cheetah. Opening my eye`s I see against the glass, my reflection of my one Blue and one Green eye. I CAN`T BREATH. Red alarms and running and panic. Choking . . . drowning. . . But the water drains. Air . . . but now stuck in the bottom of a tube tangled in wires. `Ta Bahata ! Ta Bahata !`. . . The sound of a gun rang twice. The crying stopped and the blue and green eyes on the other side of the glass turn frost white with red liquid dripping over them.

Jay woke with a horrible jolt. She shook her head with the nightmare still echoing in her head. `Ta Bahata !` She had had this nightmare since she can remember, but it was strange because she hadn`t had it for quite a while.

The sound was fading . . . and then gone. Jay sat up and rubbed her eyes in the dark. It was morning and the blinds were shut so only a few streams of light crept in.

Kyo was asleep on the old bed and Jay looked to see Grey. He wasn`t sat with her. He was sat in the opposite corner on the floor with his eye`s fixed on her again. He looked pitying for her. But Jay didn`t know why.

"Your dream scared me" he said from the dark corner.

"Oh . . . sorry, but I can`t help it. It scares me too" Jay said quietly. She was used to mind reading and seeing other peoples thoughts and dreams, and it was normal to her so it was no shock to her that Grey could hear and see her dream. Grey didn`t say any thing.

Jay had only known Kyo and Grey a day, but some how she felt like she had known them for ever. They had been the best friends she had ever had and that only took them a day to do. Jay got up from the sofa and walked over to Grey. Kneeling down beside him she held his hand.

"Sorry" Jay said again. Grey didn`t say anything but gave Jay a slight smile without looking to her. Jay got up and walked back to the sofa and picked up Grey`s blanket then went back to him and rapped him up and sat back beside him.

"Were they your . . . parents ?" asked Grey suddenly, making Jay jump slightly.

"Who ?" asked Jay confused.

"The one`s calling out" Grey yawned resting his head against her shoulder. But before Jay could think of how to answer him, Grey had fallen asleep quietly on her shoulder. Carefully she managed to scoop him up and move him over to the sofa. Part of her was glad he had fallen asleep then. She didn`t like to think about that dream after she had it. Or think about it at all in fact.

Jay sat in silence for a while in the middle of the room facing the window with the blinds shut. The streams of light slitting across her and onto the floor. Watching dust in the air, floating in the slits of light then disappearing into the dark, then into the next silt of light. Eventually reaching the floor and then gone.

"Hay. Mornin` you up early aint ya ?" said Kyo roughly getting up from the bed and stretching. Jay had herd him stirring and didn`t turn round to see him.

"Morning" Jay said plainly. Kyo seemed set back by her tone of voice. She seemed upset.

"Any-thin` wrong ?" asked Kyo taking only a few steps to wards her.

"I had a nightmare. That`s all" Jay said, still not turning to face Kyo. Concerned for Jay, Kyo walked slowly up to her and reached out to put his hand on her shoulder. Jay whipped round and grasped Kyo`s wrist tightly before he managed touched her. Her eye`s were bloodshot and tears were falling over her cheeks. Jay bit her lip and let go. Turning back to the shut blinds and strips of light without saying a word.

"You aint` OK, what`s wrong ?" Asked Kyo kneeling down beside her. Without speaking Jay suddenly lunged and hugged Kyo, clinging onto him. Because she had been brought up by Tizzy and his gang since she was ten, she had never been comforted by any one by talking. Only by actions and touching did Jay feel comfort. Words were almost nothing compared to the touch of a hand in Jay`s view, even if the power of words some times moved her more than a hand ever could.

"Just hold me" Jay cried, nuzzling her cheek against Kyo`s chest. Kyo hugged her back and was almost brought to tears himself. Kyo saw her just like Grey. She was more street wise and knew the way things worked, but she was still just a lost child like Grey. Grey was now more settled though, Jay was like starting all over again with Grey. Mind you, a less aggressive and more trusting- perhaps a too trusting Grey.

"I just don`t want to hear them cry any more. I don`t want to run any more. I don`t want to be a freak!" Jay cried. Kyo didn`t know what to do or how he could help her. He didn`t know what she ment.

"Your not a freak" said Grey from the sofa, curled up in his blanket. He had been watching for a while. Jay looked up to him from Kyo`s arms. `Then why am I having to run from any one - even my own creators ?` Jay asked herself, tears now drying on her fur, making the black fur across her cheeks shimmer. But Jay didn`t need an answer. She had asked herself a question she had never thought of. Why did she have to run ? Because they were trying to kill her - but then - Why were they trying to kill her ?

"They fear me ?" Jay said. Grey turned over and faced the back of his sofa, shutting his eye`s and trying to sleep again. And Kyo now kneeling down with Jay huddled at his knees. Jay sat up and looked Kyo in the eyes "If they fear me then I have no reason to run ? - If they want me dead. . . then I say - Bring it on in fleets !" Jay smiled and leapt to her feet and span round in the air "They can`t hurt some thing if they run from it them self !" Jay said, jumping up and down with glee. Suddenly in the dim lit room burst with small orbs of different colored light, no bigger than marbles. They span around and around Jay like a planet and it`s moon. As the lights zoomed around her she began to light off the floor and spin around in the air with her tail coiling and spinning around her. The lights stopped and disappeared and Jay froze in the air. Kyo looked scared half to death.

"Sorry. They don`t hurt you. They were harmless one`s" Said Jay drifting around him in the air and lifting him up from the floor. Kyo stood as Jay span around and around him.

`Craika - this one had a real split personality !` Kyo thought to himself.

"I know I do" Jay smiled , hanging upside down in front of Kyo "Part of how I was designed" Kyo let out a small laugh as Jay gave him a big cheesy grin and then sharply flipped back the right way up and landed softly on the floor.

"So ya OK then ?" asked Kyo. In a blink Jay was nose to nose with Kyo.

"I`m ecstatic. A few words just solved my life" laughed Jay, then out of her joy, jumped on Kyo knocking him to the floor and she sat on his stomach "Hay Kyo- you gotta` be more on your guard with me - I like to play rough" laughed Jay, poking her nose against Kyo`s.

At that moment since the atmosphere was a lot more happy and normal, Kyo just noticed that Jay wasn`t just a Inhuman and depressive like Grey. She was happy - and pretty and sat on top of him. Jay let out a little giggle and stuck out and bit her tong.

"Thank ya` a girl likes to hear a compliment every so often" Jay giggled. Kyo laughed and felt himself go red slightly, but before he could say anything, a blur of gray and white had leapt out of no were and rolled over Jay knocking her of Kyo.

Kyo jolted up and looked to see Jet grabbing Jay so tight she could hardly move.

"AGHHHHH! GET IT OFF!" whaled Jay.

" I Love you ! I Love you ! I Love you !" Jet was repeating as he cling onto Jay and tugged at her shirt and jeans.

"JET ! Geroff` her !" Kyo yelped and he wrenched him off her. And as soon as Jay had a free hand she smacked Jet in the face who instantly fell back and started babbling and curled up on the floor, singing and laughing to himself.

"He`s a live wire aint` Eh` ?" said Jay, brushing her hair back into place.

"There`s the understatement of the year" growled Grey with his back to them, from on his sofa "And Kyo- Jay is just over friendly. She`s not interested like that". Jay gave out a sharp little laugh and turned to Kyo and rustled his hair as she got to her feet. Kyo didn`t like it they way they were reading his mind and using that to make fun of him.

"Hay . . . well look at us, one big happy family!" Jay laughed as she sprang up in the air and floated of backwards into the kitchen to explore.

Kyo looked to Jay, raiding the cupboards while sat crossed legged and upside down in the air. Then looked to Grey still with his back turned to them, in his protective little bubble type mood. And then to Jet singing to himself on the floor, laughing and curled up rocking back and forth.

"This is the most warped family Iv ever seen . . ."
