commentary arc : Notebook delicious redux. koji, or ro koji their captain, is a nikitak. a brief interlude. a JUMP GATE is a large metal ring which breaks down ships and people into atomic particles, because the only thing (in theory) to travel faster than light is energy. They transmit this energy as data to another jump-gate location, where the data is interpreted by the ring and the original is reconstructed. knowing exactly what was in the data before hand is paramount to this, ergo lying and saying you don't have something you do will cause major errors. this is all MAJOR speculation on my part, and total half-baked sci fi.
